SHL & Pokemon, Episode 3

To be perfectly brutally honest, we're starting to enter the part where I don't really like a few of the characters introduced today, although I do understand their roles in the narrative. As a consequence, I didn't really give as much thought to their Pokemon as I did for others, haha.
Ol' Watermelon Couple is hard to love and easy to hate. All the same, you gotta admire their dedication to each other and tenacity in chewing the scenery. Solrock and Lunatone seem a pretty good match for their oddballness.
I like the image of scheming, unwashed Elder Huang He with an equally shifty-looking Krookodile behind him.
Shen Shen is LOUD (and annoying), you'd need something equally loud and obnoxious.
Gao Chong is almost painfully straightforward, stern and unbending - there's really nothing sneaky about him, in constrast to Huang He. I thought a huge, powerful, intimidatingly immovable Steelix would match nicely.
Do not ask me to justify why, but Ao Lai Zi always struck me as very suitable for a Water-type. Maybe it's his relative serenity and the fact that he seems to give more of a shit about the younger members of his sect in his care, compared to the other sect leaders.
Side note: ZZS is so motherly in this episode so I don't blame WKX for chasing after that hot milf booty one bit, but DAMN his mustache is terrible! I wish they'd let ZZH grow out his natural stubble - he can definitely pull it off.
